The Beginning – A Simple Vision

Butler, then known as Butler In Suits, began with a simple vision in September 2016: to help our busy customers free up time managing their household duties. Butler started with weekly housekeeping service until one day, a customer raised the need for more frequent help. The customer felt that a weekly service wasn’t enough when there was a baby to take care of. This prompted Poon to come up with the world’s first daily housekeeping service for apartments to address the need of modern day living.

A Hospitality Experience for All

Butler in 2018 introduced the following new services to provide even greater level of convenience for our customers, the new services includes Property Management and Concierge including E-commerce. The new services allowed Butler to be the manager needed for every customer’s home, for locals and expats alike. Customers would come home with everything cleaned, and laundry done.
When unexpected household incidents arose, such as a broken A/C, Butler provided its trusty contacts for a swift repair all the while the customer is away. And when they realized it was their friends’ birthday a bit too late, Butler would get the perfect gift in time. Butler’s efforts were awarded through recognitions in the Asia Startup Summit, Rice Bowl Startup Award, NS Advocate SME Award, among others, in 2018.

A New Era

In March 2019, Butler In Suits re-branded to Butler. The re-branding comes with a newly launched website and app that has a built-in payment system and original lifestyle content, and caters to individuals as well as businesses. With the knowledge acquired over two years, Butler prides itself in its ability to listen to customers’ needs and provide the personalized service for each and every one of them.
