Singapore based Butler raises USD$540k in seed round

The funding will be used to provide professional services to Singapore’s apartment residents, office managers, and property managers.

Singapore; May 6, 2019: Butler, a hospitality and real estate management service company from Singapore, successfully closed a seed round of SGD$700,000. Backed by investors including businessman Massimo Mantero, the company now has their focus on scaling its operations in Singapore.

The seed round was in part accomplished due to strong support from the company’s own customers, including Massimo Mantero, Emanuele Novi, and Vincenzo De Falco, who invested in their own capacity. The unprecedented support from customers has led Poon Da Qian, CEO and founder of Butler, to coin this seed round as “customer round”.

Butler was founded in 2016 by Poon with a mission to help people free up time and enable greater convenience by integrating hospitality and real estate management and services into homes, offices and buildings. The company currently helps apartment residents, office managers, and property managers increase productivity and save time by providing an all-in-one professional management service for their properties. Services include housekeeping, concierge, property management, property maintenance services, and more.

Butler’s comprehensive service allows customers to have a single professional vendor and point of contact for managing all their properties needs. As a result, customers are able to increase productivity and save time from liaising and setting expectations with what normally ranges between five to ten different service vendors.

Currently servicing more than 200 apartment residents, office managers and property managers, Butler hopes to help people and businesses increase productivity regain their most precious commodity – time.

Massimo Mantero said, “Butler is a revolutionary service company that can transform the hospitality and real estate industry, return time, and enable greater convenience for people and businesses”

Butler will use the new capital to expand its services and recruit talents in Singapore. It also aims to become a market leader in the hospitality industry through employee training and welfare. Training has always been a top priority for the company, as seen through its establishment of Butler Academy, the in-house training program for housekeepers. The program has played a crucial role in improving the working standards and allowing workers to achieve confidence when delivering the Butler standard. Upon completion of the four month training programme, graduates receive market leading salary and welfare benefits.

Poon Da Qian, CEO of Butler said, “This investment will allow us to explore and launch greater services for our clients. It is our aim to bring greater convenience into their lifestyle and living through technology.”
